How I Work
An approach built on listening first.
Every engagement follows the same rhythm — six verbs that describe how I actually think about a business. It's slower than a template. It's also the reason my recommendations tend to stick.
The Six Verbs
Observe. Recognize. Strengthen. Connect. Empower. Grow.
Observe
Before anything is recommended, I watch. I spend time with your business the way it actually runs — the phone, the front door, the follow-ups, the paperwork. Real observation surfaces details that surveys and questionnaires never do.
Recognize
Every established business has strengths already in place. The way you talk to a longtime customer. The habits your team has built over years. I identify what's already working so I can build on it, not replace it.
Strengthen
Once I see the strengths clearly, I improve the systems that support them. Sometimes that's technology. Often it's a simpler process, a clearer handoff, or a tool that gets out of the way. The goal is reliability, not novelty.
Connect
Great businesses treat every customer touchpoint as a relationship, not a transaction. I design first-contacts, follow-ups, and reminders that feel personal — because they are.
Empower
Repetitive work is where hours quietly disappear. I use smart, boring automation to give your team back time — for the customers, decisions, and conversations that actually move the business forward.
Grow
Growth is a byproduct of steady, well-chosen improvements. I build for the future you actually want — not the biggest version of your business, the right one.
Deliverable
Business Growth Blueprint™
The Blueprint is a written document you can hold in your hands. It captures what your business does well today, where the friction is, and a prioritized set of improvements — with the reasoning behind each one.
It's the deliverable from my research phase, and it's yours to keep. You don't have to hire me to act on it. Many owners tell me the Blueprint alone changed how they think about their own business.
- A plain-language summary of how the business runs today.
- The strengths worth protecting and building on.
- A ranked list of practical improvements, with the "why."
- A recommended starting point — The Next Two Steps™.
Where to start
The Next Two Steps™
Big roadmaps stall. So instead of handing you a twenty-item plan, I finish every Blueprint with two clear next steps: the smallest, most useful changes to make first.
They're chosen for impact and for how quickly they can be done. Most owners see something visibly better within a few weeks of starting — which is exactly the point.
Rolling up sleeves
Implementation
Implementation is where consulting usually ends and the vendor handoff begins. I don't work that way. When I recommend a change, I build it with you.
Expect steady cadence, plain-language updates, and one person you can actually call. I favor small, reversible steps over big-bang rollouts — so the business keeps running smoothly the whole time.
